My first stop in Istanbul was grabbing something to eat at Semazen Bufe & Restaurant, this Turkish restaurant was in Sultanahmet and closed to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and another historical places in Istanbul. Just like another Turkish restauran, this place offers the same dishes such as Doner Kebab. I was not in the mood for something different and decided on the Chicken Doner Kebab with vegetables, bread, and french fries inside.
As we are closed to Sultanahmet, we tried to visit some historical places one by one, start with Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and Hippodrome. This places were surprisingly full of people, both locals and tourists. Those places offer beautiful landscapes and historical experiences.
Next we tried to end our first day's adventure in Taksim. We decided to walk from Eminonu to sirkeci through Galata Bridge, and down to the Golden Horn-it's separating the old city of Istanbul in the south and the new city located in the northern part. We got a lot of beautiful views that can't be explained by words. But before that, i checked out a fish sandwich in Eminonu. That was completely tantalizing, because i have never tasted fish while in Turkey. Basically the sandwich is just like Doner Kebab, but only with fish.
On the way to the famous Istiklal Caddesi (street), we were served by plenty of shops, therefore we shopped for a moment. Start from souvenirs, clothes, foods to shoes are there to buy, you just need to choose. As well as after reaching Istiklal Street, shops and cafe are everywhere. I found a lot of things to see and what better way to end a day's adventure than with a nice fresh air in Metropolitan city? We decided to check out Taksim Area more, its night clubs and cafe are worth trying, it's just no such a thing could ever run out to be explored.
