Woo! Nothing has changed since the last time I was here in Bangkok. The heat and the traffic jams among world's worst. Well it doesn't take long to realize why Bangkok is the most visited city around the world in 2017. Majestic temples, antique tuk tuk, and sea of boutiques and markets. Food? it's another highlight of Bangkok, from local dishes served at street stalls to grande cuisine at rooftop and high-sky restaurants. And it wouldn't be complete to visit Bangkok without a glimpse of its famous nightlife, be it nightclubs, bars, or red-light districts, Bangkok never stops you to coming back. But how does it feel to experience amazing non-touristy places in Bangkok? Follow me :)
Bangkok Day 2! First thing in the morning, we visited Pier 21 Food Court at Terminal 21 for a breakfast. Then I realized it is one of the best breakfast spots in town - tasty foods with lots of options and budget friendly. It can't be more perfect than this, highly recommended! After a nice meal, we headed back to Sukhumvit Soi 38 for Hands and Heart Cafe - a Bangkokian's cozy little corner, they said. Along with its "your coffeehood" tagline, this minimal-white-looking specialty coffee bar is not the best place to linger but coffee drinkers will find this place worth every minutes. During the visit, my friend and I took a walk to explore the city streets. I enjoyed how the streets and the local food stalls look like, to give you more a better perception of Bangkok.

Guess where to next? We checked out the famous weekend Chatuchak Market (exceptional). No wonder this market has reached a status as a must-visit place for tourists, with more than 200.000 visitors to come on a typical weekend. I would agree that this place is one of the best local shopping spots to buy because everything is on sale here! - with more than 8.000 market stalls, this is where you can literally 'shop till drop'

The best part of my Bangkok Day 2 was to have dinner and fun AKA drink alcohol at Thonglor's Backyard. Through its website, The Commons Bangkok first intention is to build community, then a mall. All I can say that this market, playground, or whatever they named it, is the trendiest, hipster place among the neighborhood - from quality food and drinks by specialized purveyors, little shops to play yard to connect with your body, they do have it! If you have seen enough of Bangkok's typical touristy place, its time to get a glimpse of a more local side by checking out the non-touristy thing like The Commons.

My friends had anti-biotic & hormone-free chicken from Fowlmouth, the crisp is so perfect because it is marinated in buttermilk and spices overnight before being fried. If you can't handle the spice, I suggest you to choose "Mild" or see if you can survive the "Death" level bite. Last but not least, we had white wine to linger during the night. I really enjoyed checking out different kinds of places and I hope you enjoy reading it too.
