Our favorite season of the year is just around the corner and the only thing we can think about is hot sand in between our toes, salty breeze in our hair and amazing waves splashing our bodies. Still, before we actually go there, there is one little obstacle we need to overcome – packing. Well, not so little at all. Everyone would love to escape the annoying and exhausting duty of packing for an escape, but frankly, it does not have to be that hard. You just need to have a clear image what you need and avoid over-packing and under-packing, and you will be fine.

Pack Summer-Friendly Clothes
Although you can pack one pair of jeans for evenings out, it would be reckless to fill up your bag with heavy fabrics and fall clothes. Instead, pack summer-friendly fabrics, such as cotton, bamboo, linen and silk, because they are lightweight and breathable. Consider about maintenance, the best fabrics are the ones that do not require ironing. A lightweight cardigan and blazer are a good idea, just in case the temperatures fall.

Pack Versatile
It is a hint you can get from women. When they are trying to not to over-pack, they reach out to good old double-duty items. Think about it: every piece you pack can fulfill at least two criteria, and you will even have extra room in your suitcase when you are done. For instance, choose a practical and lightweight luggage to adhere airport requirements.

Think about Special Occasions
Unless you are planning to spend all your days idling at the beach, you will probably go out in the evening to meet the place you are in. In those cases neutral swimming trunk will not be much of a help. So, have one or two outfits just for those occasions: khaki trousers and one or two custom shirts will be enough, but you can go for the classic jeans + blazer combo. As for the shoes, you can choose boat shoes or lightweight canvas ones.

Throw-Away Fashion
This might sound silly, but have you thought about disposable fashion? There are so many things that can be worn just a couple of times and then thrown away, so why would you buy them before you go? Buy them at your destination and get rid of them upon leaving. Those can be beach flip flops, basic cotton t-shirts, hat, etc. The same goes for the cosmetic and hygiene department (shampoo, toothpaste, soap, etc.).

It Is All about Essentials
There are some clothing pieces that are essential for every man who seek to be stylish during his summer vacation. Those are khaki shorts, low-top sneakers, linen shirt, a casual button down, several cotton t-shirts, printed shirt, polo shirt, short sleeve Henley, webbed belt and stylish sunglasses.

Hygiene and Cosmetics
We have previously mentioned that most of your hygiene and cosmetics items you can buy in small packages when you arrive at your destination. Still, there are some things you will have to bring, if not for anything else, than for the plane or bus usage. Those are wet wipes, hand sanitizer, toothbrush + toothpaste… If there are some special products you are using that cannot be acquired elsewhere, make sure you pack them.

Tech and Gadgets
What is a man without his toys? So, since there is no way to forget your smartphone, we will remind you to pack a portable charger too, you might need it at the beach. If your phone does not have a good camera, make sure you bring some dedicated camera as well. There are also many helpful travel gadgets out there for all sorts of occasions.
Now, all you have left is to enjoy. Bon voyage!
